About Random Tumble Pilling Tester

The Random Tumble Pilling Tester is a precision textile testing instrument designed to determine the pilling and fuzzing characteristics of all types of fabrics. It uses stainless steel impellers rotating inside cork-lined aluminum chambers, ensuring accurate tumbling, abrasion, and fabric surface evaluation. The tester meets multiple international standards including ASTM D3512, JIS L 1076 & DIN 53867, making it suitable for textile mills, garment export houses, QC labs, and research institutions.

During testing, the fabric samples are tumbled at a constant 1200 rpm with optional compressed air injection that improves the random tumbling effect. The machine features a programmable timer with audible alarm, ensuring consistent and repeatable test cycles. After testing, samples can be evaluated using standard photographic pilling scales.
